Don't know if anyone else uses WinMX but it has been shut down. It is the only Peer to Peer that I have ever used so if anyone has any suggestions for a replacement I'm all ears.

I stopped using WinMX like early this year or something when for some odd reason I couldn't connect to the network no more. Besides the prog is outdated. I've moved on to LimeWire which I found to be a much better P2P. The only thing though is that the prog is in Java and I hate Java.

Hmm.. well I'd say go for Lime Wire. Its pretty good. No spyware or anything (Unless you download a file with somethin in it) It should be fine. I used to use Kaaza but that gave me wayyyy too many viruses. And Ares gave me too much spyware. My friends suggested LimeWire, so you should go with that.

Whats the point in having a computer, and bittorrent if you don't plan on leaving it running all night long to begin with? With the nec. firewall precautions... you will exp no problems at all, I find it weird you call people who do this geek, please explain how you came to this conclusion.

Ares gave me too much spyware.
Just to clarrify, I don't think Ares has any spyware bundled with it. Maybe you got it elsewhere?

Why pay for over priced stuff when you can get it for free? I admit some stuff you need to pay for but when a game cost $80 to buy and then you have to pay a 15$ a month fee to play it, it's best to download it and then play it.
Same goes for music, a cd costs about 19 cents to make, and the companies are charging $19 - $25 for a cd come on now.

The gaming industry is pricing their items waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. Let's get revenge by using LimeWire & Warez.com!
