I have a website that i have already built and put up on freewebs. I dont like freewebs because they have adds. Do you guys think syxe is like, alot better than freewebs? Can i park a domain name on syxe?

wow, this is exciting! Is it ok to have a non profit orginazations website here? Because my homeschool group wanted me to make a website and i thought this would be a good place to host but wasn't sure if the fact that i was making this for an orginazation would hurt make it so i didn't get free hosting. I already applied, but i looked like there were alot more turned down than accepted. Do you think it's hard to get in?

Its not hard if you have good quality posts.

We host any sites on here as long as they follow our TOS which you agree to when you apply.

I dont like freewebs, it is too much limited to what you can do.

Freewebs was host I used for my first website. I wouldn't recommend them for anyone except absolute beginners.

There are MANY sites like Freewebs, like... Geocities, Angelfire, Piczo, and more. But whats great about sites like this is it is basicly paid hosting except theres no cost on you site, and usualy the hosting people make all there money from adds or something. I really like this site also!

Yes, Freewebs is made for beginners and novices to web development. I personally started on GeoCities, then moved to FreeWebs. I still think making the sites yourself and having a great host is the way to go.

And atleast have some form of cPanel.

BUt yes, if you bought a domain through freewebs you can transfer it's nameservers over to SyXe and it be pointed to your host on SyXe.

I've used their domain server before, and I can help you if you need. Just drop me a line if you need anything.
